San Francisco in 5 Hours

March 29, 2016 • By

Sometimes there is comfort in a perfectly mapped out trip and sometimes you just have to embrace spontaneity head on. On the first day of our Big Sur road trip, we did just that. We passed our intended destination and continued on North towards San Francisco. The catch, we wanted to reach our campground before sundown, so we set a goal to see San Francisco in 5 hours.

So what did we pack into our 5-hour San Francisco day trip? A mix of the must-see sites and a sprinkling of underrated spots that caught our eyes along the way.

Mother-Daughter Palm Springs Getaway

March 24, 2016 • By

A Southern California girls getaway is nothing without a trip to Palm Springs, a desert oasis of mid-century modern design. The town is a throwback bubble where you can thrift shop to your heart’s content, relax for hours on end at the pool like you’re on the set of Mad Men, or dine with 50’s kitsch or old Hollywood glam. For our Palm Springs mother-daughter getaway, my mom and I sweated through an amazing day trip and saw it all.

Mother-Daughter Temecula Getaway

March 22, 2016 • By

Funny how when you grow up, move out of the house, and across the country you start to really miss your parents. Since moving to California, I’ve found myself talking to my parents more than I did when I lived with them! On several of these calls, my mom and I threw around the idea of planning a trip together. Finally, we decided to act on the whim and explore Southern California together for a Temecula mother-daughter getaway.

Our trip was the perfect bonding moment and the most relaxing experience I’ve had in awhile. We packed our week with the only things we knew how to do, wining, dining, shopping, and relaxing.
